Energy Consumption Analysis

This article is the second in the "IAMMETER Energy Consumption Report" series (for the first article, please see 13.1 Bill Reports, for the third article, please see 13.3 Other Analysis).

This includes the following report content:

  • Hourly Energy Consumption
  • Energy Consumption During Selected Hours
  • Comparison Analysis for Different Meters
  • Comparison Analysis on a Time Basis
  • Comprehensive Analysis

Energy Consumption Analysis

Hourly Energy Consumption

This report helps customers analyze the energy consumption/generation for each hour within a 24-hour period.

  • You can choose data from a single phase or multiple phases.
  • You can select daily, weekly, or monthly as the time interval.

Note: When selecting weekly or monthly, the hourly data is the aggregated result (the average value of all data for that hour during the selected week/month).

If you use a single meter to monitor the energy consumption of a factory or commercial building, this report can easily help you analyze the average power consumption for each hour over a specific time period (e.g., one month). If you notice that power consumption is significantly high during non-production hours in the factory or when the office is unoccupied, you should take measures to identify the source of this consumption.

Energy Consumption During Selected Hours

This report helps customers compare the energy consumption of the same meter during different hours.

For detailed information, please see: https://imeter.club/topic/555?sort=default

As shown in the figure below, if you are monitoring the power consumption of a factory with three production shifts (0:00-8:00, 8:00-16:00, 16:00-24:00), this report makes it easy to analyze and compare the daily and monthly energy consumption of the three shifts.

Compare the daily energy consumption of these three production shifts

Comparison Analysis for Different Meters

This report helps customers analyze the power consumption of different meters within the same time period.

For example, if a customer has two workshops monitored by two different meters, this report can help analyze and compare the daily or monthly energy consumption of the two workshops.

Energy Comparison Analysis for Different Meters

Comparison Analysis on a Time Basis

This report compares the energy consumption of the same meter across different time periods.

Unlike "Energy Consumption During Selected Hours," which compares data based on specific hours, this report can:

  • Compare hourly energy consumption across different days.
  • Compare daily energy consumption across different months.
  • Compare monthly energy consumption across different years.

If you are implementing energy-saving measures, this report can clearly show whether your measures are effective.
